New masters student Oren Friedman joins the team
A new masters student, Oren Friedman, joins our team this summer! Oren is a new masters student in Computer Science at Hunter College. Arrive from Queens college, Oren actually began his career as a US Merchant Marine Officer! He has also worked in operations, sales, and software development in the maritime shipping industry and the New York City industrial warehousing market. Welcome, Oren!
New doctoral student Yiming Tang joins the team
A new doctoral student, Yiming Tang, will join the team starting this Fall semester! Yiming will enter the PhD program in Computer Science at the CUNY Graduate Center as a full CUNY Graduate Center Science Fellow, which offers salary for two years and tuition for ten semesters. (more…)
New Student David wins 2017 Hunter College Research Fellowship
Welcome aboard, David Morant, my new research student! David has been awarded a 2017 Undergraduate Research Fellowship from Hunter’s Undergraduate Research Initiative, and we will be working together during the Spring 2017 semester.
David is an avid Android developer that is taking the CSCI 49900 capstone course at Hunter this semester. Along with his group, he has been working on a web-based application, as well as a REST API, for finding available resources on campus. The project also includes an Android client.
David has also worked as an Android development trainer at several companies, including Coalition for Queens and Turn to Tech. He has also interned as a front-end developer and assisted teaching a Python course.
New Student: Olivia Moore
I am pleased to announce that Olivia Moore has decided to join our research team. Olivia is a senior in the Computer Systems Technology Department, and she is interested in programming. Last summer, Olivia completed an internship at the DUMBO Startup Lab, under the Brooklyn Tech Triangle Internship Program, where she worked on several web-related projects.
