A new undergraduate student, Işık Aysel Kıymac, joins our team this summer as a 2026 Cyber NYC Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) participant! Işık is a sophomore in Computer Science and Economics at Barnard College, Columbia University. She has experience building game-theory solvers in Python, an HTTP/1.0 web server in C, and regression and neural-network models for energy prediction. She has served as a Workshop Assistant in Columbia’s Emerging Scholars Program and as a Peer Tutor for Data Structures and Algorithms, is Technical Editor of Columbia’s student news site Bwog, and is a member of Columbia Girls Who Code.
