I have been appointed the official maintainer role for the CTAN LaTex algorithms package!

Unfortunately, it the previous maintainer is deceased. I look forward to carrying on their legacy.

This is my first time maintaining a LaTeX package, and I am quite excited! This package has been around since 1995; thus, I am sure many people use it. Though several, more recent packages exist, I have always liked this one. I find it simple to use and it produces good-looking algorithms. Please let me know if you have any feedback!
